Dog Grooming Apprentice
Part of the Hippie Hounds Team Since 2022
Scout joined Hippie Hounds in May 2022, and although she didn’t come in with dog experience, she quickly found her place. She started out bathing and blow drying, moved into baby grooms, and is now working as an apprentice on her way to becoming a full-time groomer. Over the past few years, Scout has learned a lot and grown more confident in her skills, all thanks to a team that supports and encourages her every step of the way.

Scout's Journey
Looking for a change from in-home care, Scout took a chance at applying to Hippie Hounds because she knew she loved being around animals. What started as a job during college turned into something she genuinely enjoys and sees as a long-term path. The energy in the shop, the strong communication, and the drama-free environment are a few of the reasons she loves coming to work.
Scout is known for being quick to adapt — she is tuned in to each dog’s needs and is always ready to help. She takes pride in creating a calm and positive experience for both dogs and their owners.
