Hippie Hounds is a health-focused dog salon created in 2016 by three professional, Seattle-based dog groomers. We are collectively motivated to provide dogs with better care than the standard accepted across many dog grooming salons in Washington.
We built Hippie Hounds to provide premium dog grooming services to clients in Lynnwood, Edmonds, Shoreline, Mukilteo, Everett, and their surrounding communities, because your dog’s health deserves it.

Our Story
Hippie Hounds came to be when long-term dog-groomers, Aaron, Amanda, and Anna (aka The A-Team), crossed paths and connected on their shared insights on the dog grooming industry standards in Washington. Equally passionate about dogs and giving the Seattle community access to higher-quality dog-grooming services, The A-Team pooled each of their life savings to start Hippie Hounds.
From each needing to work another job … to six years spent working six days a week … to starting our Lynnwood shop with one small suite … to opening a second location in Shoreline in 2018 … to expanding our Lynnwood shop to two suites … to having to close our Shoreline location due to COVID in 2021 … to expanding our Lynnwood shop once more to today’s 4,000 sq. ft space, Hippie Hounds has come a long way and has grown to include 20 employees!

I just picked my dog up from hippie hounds after her third or fourth time being groomed here, and I am compelled to write an updated review now that I have enough experience here to say more confidently that this is the place to take your pet for grooming. Staff is fantastic and they simply rock at what they do. Full grooming sessions take quite a while, 4ish hours (for my dog at least- double coat, often some tough matted spots to deal with) and it is still so worth it because the result is 10/10 every time. No complaints, big fan!

I just took my dogs here yesterday for the first time. I love this place already. I have pretty nervous dogs who hate nail trims and usually have longer nails due to this. Most places aren’t able to clip them short enough so that it doesn’t cause them sensitivity. They were so sweet to my girls! The dremel they use really helps to cut my dogs nails down pretty significantly. Also, due to one of my dogs dewclaws being longer they accidentally nicked her but acted so fast and explained everything they were doing to care for it. I really appreciated the communication! Also my dog was fine! They put some glue on it and then gave us products to wrap it at home so it doesn’t get irritated! They also cleaned it really well and they were super apologetic even though she was fine! They also only made us pay for one because of the accident. I will definitely be back! The whole team was amazing!
My Daisy Mae just turned 4 months old and I just got her almost 3 weeks ago it’ll be 3 weeks this coming Saturday and I just love her to pieces and this was her very first grooming session and so they did there puppy to into grooming on her and they said she did so good , I’m a proud pet momma over her this little baby over here just came out looking so good I’ll definitely be coming back , they staff here were so kind and gentle with Daisy Mae as she only weighs 4.5 lbs so she’s just a tiny little girl. This place did amazing job, definitely worth the price
I stopped by with my cockapoo for a simple trim and bath before visiting relatives for the weekend. The groomer asked surprisingly detailed questions about how short I wanted the coat and whether I preferred a fluffy look or something easier to maintain. That attention showed in the final result because his fur looked neat without losing its natural shape. The waiting area was pretty busy during pickup, but employees stayed polite and organized despite multiple customers arriving at once.
This place is always awesome and the staff is always awesome as well!

I drive all the way from Gold Bar to come here for a nail dremel for my big dog Atlas. They do a GREAT job quickly at a fair price and are so friendly while doing it. I love the staff here big time!

If you’ve ever wondered why we slip this guy (the Happy Hoodie) on your doggo, it’s for a few reasons.
1️⃣ Most importantly, it helps keep dogs calm during the blow-drying process.
2️⃣ When used properly, the Happy Hoodie flips the ears down to push on the ear canal, reducing noise.
3️⃣ It reduces air blowing into their ears (which most dogs are, obviously, sensitive to).
