Holistic Health Evaluation Included

We treat all of our dog bathing and grooming services as an opportunity for a holistic health evaluation. As we are up close and personal with your dog’s body from head to toe, dog groomers are often the first to notice indicators of health conditions, especially at an early onset. In our care, we’ve identified preliminary signs of tumors, injuries, circulation issues, skin conditions, fleas, ticks, and more. Through our health-conscious approach, we support our clients and their dogs as more than just their dog groomers, but as an additional advocate for their dog’s long-term wellness.

You vs. who they said not to worry about 😜🐾 Miss Penny is looking mighty fine, fresh, and clean after her remoisturizing bath, brush, and blowout with de-shedding.

Not only does she look great, but her skin is happy and hydrated after getting the essentials it needed to keep her coat soft and silky smooth. Seattle isn’t ready for Penny to strut her stuff.

⚠️ Summer Hazard Spotting! This is what a foxtail, stuck between your dog’s toes, looks like. ⚠️

Foxtails are a particularly pesky weed that can cause potentially life-threatening infections if not found and removed from your dog quickly. Give your dog a thorough inspection after taking her outside, especially paying attention to the tiny nooks and crannies between her toes.

We are so proud to be a Black Owned Business, and in honor of #NationalBlackOwnedBusinessMonth, we’re shining a light on someone who brings so much light of his own to all of us at Hippie Hounds, our Co-Owner, CFO, and Groomer, AARON!! 🩵

Aaron has been dog grooming professionally since he was 14 years old, and has a love for dogs so strong that it encouraged him to build Hippie Hounds from the ground up, with Amanda and Anna by his side, with the sole purpose being providing dogs with better grooming services than the industry standard.

As CFO, Shop Director, and Groomer, Aaron does a little bit of everything. He keeps the schedule running smoothly, makes sure the team is set up for success, and is the go-to person for handling the biggest, wildest, or most nervous dogs. He has a calm confidence that helps dogs settle in and staff stay grounded. And he genuinely enjoys the puzzle of fitting all the day’s moving parts together.

We are so thankful for Aaron and all he’s poured, and continues to pour, into Hippie Hounds.

🐶📣 Your Dog Wants You to Know: High heat, humidity, and too much time in the sun can dry out their coat and cause itchiness. 🐶📣

Giving your dog necessary breaks from the sun and heat is as important as maintaining a regular grooming regimen, which includes at least a monthly re-moisturizing bath, brush, and de-shed/de-mat. All coat types require this maintenance to function properly, as it impacts their ability to regulate their body temperature and prevents skin irritation and other more serious conditions.

Give us a call at (425) 673-5447 to schedule your dog's next groom or come visit our self-wash to give your dog a good scrub. And as always, we’re here to answer any of your questions! 🩵

We absolutely LOVE @suziescbdtreats, our recommended, third-party quality-tested, and USDA-certified Organic dog-safe CBD product! We even carry an array of Suzie’s products at our salon in Lynnwood (check out our vending machine next time you're at the salon 😊) and give our own dog, Pearl, Suzie’s CBD drops regularly. We genuinely believe that doing so has made a positive impact on Pearl’s quality of life as a 15-year-old lady.
