Aaron’s dog grooming journey started early. At just 14 years old — and after years of begging his mom for a dog every birthday and Christmas, and spending his library visits researching dogs — he picked up his first job as a bather and quickly fell in love with the world of dog grooming. That first experience left a lasting impression, and six years later, Aaron became a certified professional dog groomer through PetSmart’s Grooming Academy. From there, he spent years working in private shops, fine-tuning his skills and figuring out what worked (and what didn’t) in the industry.

Aaron’s dog grooming journey started early. After seeing too many policies that didn’t make sense for dogs or the people caring for them, Aaron knew he wanted to do things differently. He wanted to start his own shop where dogs would be treated with respect, the staff would feel supported, and the environment would be one he could be proud of. That dream became Hippie Hounds.
Together, Aaron, Amanda, and Anna created a place that feels more like a family than a business. As CFO, Shop Director, and Groomer, Aaron does a little bit of everything. He keeps the schedule running smoothly, makes sure the team is set up for success and is the go-to person for handling the biggest, wildest, or most nervous dogs. He has a calm confidence that helps dogs settle in and staff stay grounded. And he genuinely enjoys the puzzle of fitting all the day’s moving parts together.
