Meet Luke
Store Manager
Part of the Hippie Hounds Team Since 2021
Luke has been with Hippie Hounds since 2021, bringing calm energy and solid experience to the team every day. Before starting with us, he spent two years managing the front-of-house responsibilities at Chipotle, where he learned how to handle all kinds of customer situations. Aaron, one of Hippie Hounds’ owners, was a regular at the restaurant, and after building a friendly relationship, they got to talking about dogs. That conversation turned into a job offer, and Luke started part-time in 2020 before jumping in fully the following year.

Luke's Journey
Since then, Luke has learned every role in the building, from cleaning and bathing to brushing and drying to running the front desk. Now as manager, he’s the go-to person for just about everything. Whether he’s helping newer staff build confidence or stepping in with a pup that’s a little too wild for someone else, Luke is always ready to lend a hand.
He especially loves working with dogs that need a little extra care. Whether they’re senior pups, labeled as aggressive, or turned away by other places, Luke finds it rewarding to give them the patience and support they deserve.

At home, he lives with his girlfriend and her German Shepherd, who is obsessed with tennis balls and frisbees and loves to do victory laps after a good catch. Luke also visits his mom’s Husky-Border Collie mix, who gets so excited that he jumps up to eye level just to say hello. In his downtime, Luke enjoys fighting games on his PlayStation or Switch, game nights with friends, movie marathons, and reading.
